L et Us Keep Engaged Foundation (LUKE) is a nonprofit organization that works at the local, state, and national level making a positive impact on the under-served population through direct social, political, and community action programs.

Established in 2001, LUKE provides community services in the following areas:
  • Provides assistance to local families in need during the holiday season through the "A Gift For You" program.
  • Encourages local voter participation and education through the "Stretch-To-Vote" program.
  • Provides access to professional resources and guidance to under-served, hardworking students through the "Look Up, Look Back" mentoring program.

O ur Vision for the Future

Construction of  "The LUKE Institute of Progressive Learning and Intellectual Advancement" is the logical culmination of our grass-roots efforts.  Our goal is to widen the scope of our services to a level that will serve not only P.G. County, but also the entire nation.

The Institute will be a hub of multicultural activities, thought and partnerships for the advancement of young people.  A five-story complex that will support a courtroom, multimedia video studio, music studio, technology studio, rehearsal studio, and medical suites on levels 1 through 3.  The 4th level will be dedicated to critical thought, philosophy, business, and grant activities.  Level 5 will be reserved for executive and administration offices.

Think of the building as the human body, the base (foundation) gets us there in a practical manner, the middle tier holds the heart and soul, and the top houses the brain that guides the operations.  The wide stance of the facility symbolizes stability, the soaring towers indicate that no goal is unreachable and all should reach for the heavens.
