Become a Conference 2014 Sponsor
The Parent Engagement Conference entitled “I WANT MY CHILD TO DO BETTER THAN ME” Preparing Today’s Child for Tomorrow’s Workforce will focus on helping parents and guardians understand the impact that their child’s education path has on the future success of entering into the professional job market.
An investment with an impact.
On September 27, 2014 LUKE Foundation will host a Parent Engagement Conference in College Park, Maryland. By becoming a sponsor, your investment will give you unprecedented visibility among engaged parents whose children will be entering the 21st century workforce.
Provide parents and guardians with resources that will help them understand future job markets and the educational criteria required to meet the ever-changing needs of the 21st century. The Parent Engagement Conference will identify local resources and tools to help inform families of critical strategies they can use to engage their children in the subject areas of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.R.E.A.M.). The LUKE Foundation envisions that the impact of providing this type of engagement will assist in the creation of a community of interested parents and guardians that will actively seek relevant information needed to help guide and develop their children for the 21st century workforce. It is our goal to use the conference as a starting point for families to make meaningful connections to organizations and people who can help youth identify and receive information about the skills needed to obtain well-paying professional jobs
We will connect with parents and guardians to begin to build long term and trusted relationships. The results of the conference will be the creation of a trusted information resource portal for parents and guardians to access critical information for the success of the youth. By bringing together leaders in education, public policy, industry and parents and guardians, the conference will provide a comprehensive and integrated resource platform of community based information and resources. We expect more than 900 participants, who will attend informative workshops, discuss relative issues in break-out sessions, have access to vendors, and enjoy a free bag lunch. Notable invited guests include Dr. Kevin Maxwell, CEO Prince George’s County Schools and Prince George’s County Executive, Rushern Baker. Additionally, we have invited local and national business owners from various industries, educators and experts to lead the workshops and break-out sessions.
Your support would assist in making this conference a great success, and show our
youth your commitment to their future. Please see the following pages for the sponsorship levels.
