On November 2nd, 2004, LUKE kicked-off one of the most aggressive voter participation campaigns Prince George's County Maryland has ever seen. Stretch To Vote targeted registered voters throughout Prince Georges County Maryland for limousine rides to the polls. This year Stretch To Vote was able to give more than 300 voters the chance to "Ride in Luxury" as they cast their vote in the 2004 Presidential Election.
This groundbreaking effort was the first campaign in a series designed to encourage the District, Maryland and Virginia communities to exercise their right to vote and to educate them on the importance of this all too often discarded privilege. And there’s more. . . Due to the phenomenal success of Stretch To Vote, Luke Foundation is has made avaialble all the necessary documents and files to run a Stretch To Vote campaign in your community.
